It can position these molecules to recapitulate observed data where available and can further optimize the molecular interactions on a local level as each molecule is placed into a mesoscale model.

autoPack can thus place objects with forces and constraints to allow a high degree of control ranging from completely random distributions to highly ordered structures.ĬellPack is a specialization of autoPack that generates probabilistic 3D models of large sections of cells that can contain dozens to trillions+ of molecules. autoPack mixes several packing approaches and procedural growth algorithms. UPy (ubiquitous Python API) enables ePMV and autoPack to work in Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, SoftImage, Cinema 4D, Blender and DejaVu by writing only one plugin instead of >5.ĮPMV (embedded Python Molecular Viewer) provides all of the capabilities of molecular graphics and molecular mechanics software directly in your C4D GUI.ĪutoPack positions 3D geometries into, onto, and around volumes with minimal to zero overlap.

This early installation for autoPack is an alpha version- use at your own risk and save frequently. This installation includes uPy, ePMV, & autoPack Yes, sounds like a plan to me.AutoPack: INSTALLATION for Cinema 4D (includes autoPack and ePMV in one package) Since Octane doesn't support multiple materials in a scatter node, all instances will have the same geometry and materials. The cool thing is that Octane loads the CSV file everytime it opens the project, i.e. You then load the CSV file from the export into scatter node and voila you've got your instances.

Then you manually create a mesh node with the instance OBJ file and connect it with the scatter node. You then open the exported scene in Octane, create a render target node, connect a geometry group node to it's mesh input and then the main mesh node and a new scatter node with the geometry group. During the export this object and all it's instances (created by cloners and stuff) will be left out from the main OBJ/MTL file but exported as one separate OBJ/MTL file, plus a CSV file containing the transformation matrices for all the instances that can be used by the scatter node. You place a OctaneInstance tag onto an object. The plan is the following (don't know yet, if it will work): There is another major update planned, to give you some tools to export instances via scatter node.
